RIO R50 is characterized by a steel tube structure ASFORM , a high quality steel with high mechanical capacities and great resistance to weight. The special feature of the steel tube is the very visible "R" in the area between the seat and the backrest. All welds of the structure are made with Ming technology, which guarantees greater durability and reduces the risk of rust, while for greater precision, the trellis in round steel is electro-welded to the structure. As with all steel products EMU , a pretreatment of cataphoresis and the subsequent application of a thermosetting powder paint are carried out; the product is thus coated with a layer of paint of uniform thickness, with a high degree of adhesion and resistance. Nylon end caps at the ends of the feet helps protect the product and move it better.

The characteristic element that defines the design of the product is a three-dimensional enveloping aluminum armrest. The seat and backrest are connected to the structure by means of stainless steel screws.
