Fermob CHARIVARI bench

This bold and generously sized bench was first brought to life as a wooden prototype by its designer, Juliette Liberman. To create it, she drew inspiration from a time-honored technique: the steam-bent boat frame method used by traditional shipwrights. Transposed into metal by the Fermob workshops in Thoissey, the CHARIVARI bench represents a true technical feat. Its sculptural form evokes the motion of a crashing wave, the fluidity of fabric, or the gentle curves of a suspended hammock. Its cheerful and evocative name perfectly captures the spirit of this bench, designed to bring people together — comfortably seating up to six people side by side. Whether it's for lively conversations or whispered confidences, this bench invites both connection and relaxation. When it comes to comfort, nothing has been left to chance: its seat and backrest are crafted from a single curved strip of aluminum that naturally follows the body’s contours. The cross-base legs in robust steel are built to bear the weight of multiple users with ease. Manufactured in France at Fermob’s workshops, the CHARIVARI bench is finished with a highly durable anti-UV powder coating, offering outstanding resistance to weather and time.
